Cardinal and Gold Paline

I shot this from the end of the Calle dell' Ascensione looking toward the Grand Canal. The white water taxi was just pulling in to a boarding and drop-off area on the small Rio dei Giardinetti canal.
Striped poles like these can be seen throughout Venice. Traditionally the colors and patterns represented different families. I understand that some palina paint motifs these days are associated with companies and government agancies as well.
You don't see many paline in cardinal and gold.
So this morning's post is in honor of all the dedicated fans of USC, McDonald's, Weinerschnitzel, Oscar Mayer, Denny's, and Winnie the Pooh.

Citizens of Spain might like it too.
