I shot hundreds of photos of gondolas and gondoliers last June.
Most of the time I had my focus on boat details or rowing techniques, but in the middle of all that this guy rowed through and immediately I knew exactly what he was thinking.
Hey, we've all had that "itch that you can barely reach", but to see a guy deal with it while rowing...
it was classic.
