I spent some time on the water today, enjoying the festivities of Independence Day in Newport Beach. It seemed like every other house had a party going on. Rowing by in a gondola without getting sung to, heckled or hooted at is next to impossible.
Newport has a small but spirited Fourth of July boat parade.

During another cruise I shot this clip while approaching the Newport Blvd. bridge. Traffic? yes, we get boat traffic sometimes.
