On an absolutely perfect evening, we had a bunch of boats out and everyone was having a great time.

After passing under the Newport Boulevard bridge back into an area known as the turning basin, I passed Steve O. rowing a boat full of lively people who felt the need to razz him. Next I crossed paths with Steve Elkins driving one of our canopy-covered motorized gondolas.
If I were to assemble the perfect conditions for the first day of summer, they would match those of tonight.
