Venice has Taggers too

I shot these "masterpieces" in between photographing stencils.
Needless to say, there's quite a contrast in talent.
As with most American graffiti, I have no flippin' idea what this one says...but I can imagine what the owner of the green door said when they discovered this "territorial pissing" perpetrated on their property.

This one seems to include the ever-so-important initials "W.T." and the name "Jack".
I wonder if W.T. and Jack's mothers have seen their son's creations.

Hmm, and it seems that somebody likes Metallica.
I swear it wasn't me who added that detail to the "masterpiece".

Venice has an illustrious history of grafitti, but I just cannot view these taggers as legitimate heirs to V.E.R.D.I.! They are simply destructive.

The city council should hang an iron cage between the columns on Piazetta to put grafittists on public display, so people could throw manure at them!

Another option would be to send a group of snipers to Venice and they would sneak up on taggers and shoot them with paintball marker, so the stupid teenagers can experience first-hand what it feels like being tagged!
