"The Reach of Resonance"

It's easy to begin a post with the words "gondoliers are interesting".
With Steve Elkins it's unavoidable.
He's one of the most interesting guys I know.

Steve's been all over the world,
plays drums in at least three bands,
is my right-hand-man here in Newport,
is an excellent writer,
and he shoots photos on film (not digital) - photos that have been shown in galleries.

When he's not doing one of the above activities, Steve is a film maker.
He's spent the last ten years working on his opus: "The Reach of Resonance".

Recently the film won an award for "Best Film Essay" at the Montreal International Festival of Films On Art. There were over 600 films considered, and only ten awards given.
Not bad for a guy's first film.

This week Steve was featured in the OC Weekly.
If you can't pick up a copy, you can read it on line.
Here's a link to the article: "The Reach of Resonance" Connects the Dots.

I know I keep saying it, but
Gondoliers are interesting.
