Spring is Fast Approaching

Spring may still be a few days away, but you could have fooled me. The weather was amazingly reminiscent of May. I rowed my cruises tonight into the late evening, and as I drove home at around 11pm it was 72 degrees out - I rolled down the windows and enjoyed the change.
Here are a few shots I snapped before it got too dark to shoot from a moving boat.

My reservation staff says that the phones are ringing off the hook.
It's going to be a great year.

Indeed spring is starting! Here we have a prediction of 20 degrees rise in just 4 days. (This weekend there was a bit of fresh snow.)

Of course we won't get anything like you've experienced until the summer arrives, maybe mid-late May.

BTW, is that covered place the underside of a highway bridge? If so, it must have a lot of lanes, the photo looks almost like a tunnel. Do you need to do something about the noise?

(Here we have a nice bay, where the park designer forgot about the way open water conducts noises, with an old and busy railway bridge crossing right at the north tip.)

The bridge in the photos is the Newport Boulevard bridge. where it crosses the water it's six lanes and two sidewalk lanes. For years Joe Munday has called it the "Tunnel of Love". The noise from the road above is minimal. The acoustics are great for singing though. Most of our gondoliers sing, and that's the best place for it. You could be a bad singer and still sound good under that bridge!
