Taxis at Rest

Venice isn't just a city filled with gondolas (although they are the most beautiful - in my humble opinion).

There are many types of boats that either originated in La Serenissima,
or are immediately associated with her - these mahogony beauties are a perfect example.

The water taxi has a unique place in modern day Venice.
There are variations, and some have a better finish than others.
Varnish is not terribly difficult to work with, but keeping these boats in show-condition brings things to a new level of dedication.
