A tornado hit parts of the Venetian lagoon today,
tearing roofs off of buildings and tossing things around,
but fortunately nobody appears to have been hurt.
Venice herself was not directly affected.
Photos of the aftermath are popping up on Facebook,
and news stories can be found in various places.
Here's a story with some of the basics, but I'm sure more info and photos will continue to materialize as the hours go by.
It's a shame to see boats and buildings damaged,
but thank God nobody was hurt.
