As the weather cools down in the Veneto, a lot of gondoliers bundle up a bit. Long sleeves, coats, and jackets are as common as they are necessary.
A lot of hats with red or blue ribbons are swapped out for ones with black ribbons.
But one thing is standard all year round:
Gondoliers love to socialize,
and can be seen chatting both with one another and passersby.
